Tonya Saffer, DPC Deputy Director

Tonya Saffer is Deputy Director of Dialysis Patient Citizens. Tonya joined DPC in May 2006.

A native of Arizona Tonya was born and raised in the Phoenix metropolitan area, often referred to as the “Valley of the Sun.” She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Arizona State University and is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health in Health Policy at the George Washington University. Tonya moved to Washington, DC to take the job with Dialysis Patient Citizens as Project Manager and was promoted to Deputy Director in May 2008. She has experience in working on projects to help improve the quality of life, health and safety for many Americans. Prior to moving to DC Tonya served as Project Coordinator for a non-profit organization in Arizona that advocates for drug-free workplace programs and assists Arizona businesses to establish these programs.
