Countdown to World Kidney Day 2010
to World Kidney Day!

DPC celebrates World Kidney Day by raising awareness about the importance of kidney health
March is National Kidney Month, and March 11th is World Kidney Day.  World Kidney Day (WKD) is a global health awareness campaign.  The international campaign focuses on the importance of our kidneys and reducing the impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems worldwide.  During the month of March, Dialysis Patient Citizens (DPC) encourages you to participate in this important day by educating your local community about kidney disease.

Ways to get involved:

  • Hold an awareness event at a local organization you belong to, a community center or place of worship. Pass out helpful information to the public on ways to prevent kidney disease and educate people on the increasing number of people impacted in their state.  Share your personal story of kidney disease with others.
  • Advocate: contact your state and federal about important issues that impact people living with kidney disease
