March 8th is World Kidney Day 2012
Each year, National Kidney Month is celebrated during the month of March and this year March 8th is designated as World Kidney Day.
World Kidney Day (WKD) is a global health awareness campaign that focuses on the importance of our kidneys and reducing the impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems worldwide. During the month of March, Dialysis Patient Citizens (DPC) encourages you to participate in this important event by educating your local community about kidney disease.
Below, you will find various educational and advocacy materials to support your National Kidney Month events. You will find ideas on how to get involved, CKD and dialysis fact sheets, and information for you to share with others about DPC. We will also be launching several online advocacy campaigns as we get closer, so stay tuned to our Legislative Action Center. Please contact our office if you have any questions or would like any additional information.
