I am in my final day here at DPC, and I wanted to post my last blog before I move on. I can’t believe how fast time has flown. It seems surreal that I have spent about 3 months here and that I will be graduating from college in just two weeks.

First, I would just like to personally thank my supervisor, Tony, for granting me this amazing opportunity. Your guidance and supervision throughout my experience was more than I could have expected. I want to thank you for the time you spent with me discussing my professional development. Our weekly meetings were extremely helpful and provided me with constructive criticism of my work that I will take with me as I venture out into my career.

I would also like to thank all of the other DPC staff members for taking the time to share their expertise and knowledge in this field with me. You all have been so wonderful to me, and I greatly appreciate it.

In my previous blog postings, I have discussed implementing a DPC Education Center Mental Health classroom for our patients. This has been my major project during my time here at DPC. I am pleased to announce that I have officially finalized the classroom, and it will be up on the website very soon. I hope that you all find the classroom to be a helpful resource!

To all of the kidney community members, thank you for all of the positive comments you have shared with me through our blog The Patients Voice, over the phone and through email. You all inspire me, and I hope to continue my work in the health care field and improve the lives of wonderful people just like you!

Again, thank you DPC. This has been the best learning experience for me. You have taught me so much, and I will never forget the knowledge, care, and guidance you all have shown me throughout my time here.
